Morson Talent are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer for our client in the Nuclear sector based in GloucestershireAre you ready to make a significant impact on some of the most critical nuclear power projects in the UK and Europe? Our dedicated teams are at the forefront of delivering innovative and high-quality solutions to new build power stations in both the South West and South East, as well as pioneering the development of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technologies. We are also playing a pivotal role in establishing Polands first nuclear power station.We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team of civil, geotechnical, and mechanical engineers. Embedded within our clients organisation, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to support ongoing construction and installation efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to nationally significant projects and fast-track your path to chartership.Key Responsibilities:Conduct weekly site visits to liaise with construction teams, identify issues, and leverage optimisations for buildings across multiple units.
Develop standard field solutions and repair action catalogues for recurring installation challenges.
Assist with design change management and coordinate stakeholder input, including leading change management board (CMB) papers.
Chair the corrosion forum to address corrosion-related issues.
Oversee quarterly surveillance reporting of all FCR/NCR/RFI on-site.
Potential involvement in transverse site issues and gaining a nuclear safety categoriser qualification.
Serve as Technical Secretary for critical technical decision meetings across the site.
Receive mentorship from industry leaders across various disciplines.
Qualifications:Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Proactive and confident in engaging with stakeholders independently.
Ability to assess technical risks and appreciate contractual/commercial risks.
Skilled in holding discussions with multi-disciplinary teams and building technical arguments to support decision-making.
Experience working to project specifications and industry standards.
Strong prioritisation, planning, and delivery skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with excellent communication abilities.
