JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all telecom expense management and telecommunications business operations for all Fort Bend County Offices and departments, including the Library and Sheriff’s Office. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes telecom cost savings through plan review, usage, disconnects of unused circuits and devices.
- Monitors and validates adds, changes, disconnects, moves and upgrades of telecom service, equipment including mobile devices.
- Mitigates contract and invoice disputes and manages business relationships with telecom providers.
- Researches problems, takes initiatives, analyzes and develops solutions; Carries out plans of action and remediation.
- Analyzes telecom detail from carrier.
- Prepares and presents reports, trends, cost savings and escalations to management.
- Provides support to the Administration Office as needed, including covering the front desk.
- Effective and positive interactions with customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 3 years of experience in telecom provisioning.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess strong mathematical and analysis skills.
- Deep familiarity with network billing cycles, types of payment methods and billing cost structures.
- Understanding of telecom invoices, contracts and service guides.
- Knowledge of A/P principals and financial systems.
SALARY RANGE: $19.71 – $24.63 hourly based on qualifications
