Telecom Cabling Engineer in support of CDC MTS Program
Responsibilities:
Performs the design or configuration of voice, video, and data communications systems; supervises installation and post- installation service (Moves, Adds, and Changes [MACs]) and maintenance
Maintains responsibility for the completion of assigned cable engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Leads a group of cable technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead within a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom functions Cable Plant Distribution/Infrastructure, Facility, Technical Control, Circuit Distribution design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support.
As a TL, this employee is responsible for managing the inventory.
Interfaces with the PM for overall direction and directs the efforts of the Telecom Cabling staff.
Coordinates with the Telecom System, DAS, and UC teams on issue resolution or projects that involve each or all the work areas.
Coordinates and resolves user issues from the CDC Help Desk daily.
