Project Management (PM) comprises project management for execution of cross-functional / geographical projects and programs from initiation to completion. Covers determination of project / program goals and support of business objectives and strategies. Ensures projects / programs achieve their targets, keep their schedule, and maintain estimated cost, time, and quality within planned scope. Covers management of risks that affect the delivery of project outcomes.
As a Project Coordinator or Project Professional, you will be responsible for managing IT Service Management (ITSM) Change Requests (CRs) and Customer Acceptance (ORCA) processes for telecom network deployments and configuration changes. You will liaise with telecom operators (e.g., Telstra, Optus, TPG), internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of network changes and end-to-end acceptance.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Manage ITSM Change Requests (CRs) for network changes in line with telecom operator requirements.
- Oversee end-to-end customer acceptance (ORCA), including Handover Pack (HOP) preparation and validation.
- Coordinate with telecom operators, design teams, TIC teams, and deployment subcontractors.
- Plan and track deployments, ensuring timely execution of network changes and addressing any delays.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including redline markups and change logs.
- Ensure all network activities comply with quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders and telecom partners.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and mentoring teams on best practices.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Manage end-to-end customer projects in Network Infrastructure, focusing on Optical Transport, IP Networking, and Fixed Access/Wireless networks.
- Execute projects using Nokia’s PM methodologies, tools, and processes to meet contractual, cost, and timeline objectives.
- Perform root cause analysis, resolve complex issues, and implement improvements with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with multicultural stakeholders and internal teams across regions to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and maintain effective communication plans and deliver clear, professional written/oral updates in English.
- Ensure compliance with Nokia’s Information Security policies, including ISMS (ISO 27001).
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience working in the Oceanic region Market MoO and familiarity with regional project governance.
- Strong adaptability, willingness to learn new tools and processes, and the ability to thrive in changing environments.
