Family Description
Project Management (PM) comprises project management for execution of cross-functional / geographical projects and programmes from initiation to completion. Covers determination of project / programme goals and support of business objectives and strategies. Ensures projects / programmes achieve their targets, keep their schedule, and maintain estimated cost, time, and quality within planned scope. Covers management of risks that affect the delivery of project outcomes.
Subfamily Description
Customer Project Management (CPM) ensures customer projects / programmes are delivered within agreed scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Contains projects throughout all phases, starting from delivery approach identification to completion / care / operation. Comprises management of customer (and all stakeholder) relationships and expectations during the contract fulfilment as well as project team members / resources. Contains project risk management, and driving of improvement actions to secure project gross margin and upselling and cross-selling.
Impact
Impact is short-term and usually departmental/project in scope. Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency of own and/or team achievements. Actions and errors can have program, project, functional impact.
Candidate must have a lot of energy and discipline to learn new tools, new processes and procedures related to the North America MoO while offering at the same time her/his performing with excellence.
Candidate must have the ability to build relationships and to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a changing environment.
Scope & Contribution
Individual Contributor: Performs and/or coordinates day-to-day activities to meet departmental/project objectives. Carries out root/cause analysis in more complex problems. Can develop and implement recommendations. Managerial/Supervisory: Direct supervisory responsibilities for people. Typically, first level (and lowest level) of solid line management. Carries out variety of complex activities according to plan within broader area of responsibility, analyses problems. Decision-making typically according to established solutions.
The RDC Project Manager is responsible for the execution of assigned projects on the Network Infrastructure Business Group at Nokia. Activities are based on Project Management methodology, Nokia processes, and Nokia tools. Such knowledge and competences contribute to ensure that all customer projects and maintenance contracts are delivered according to contractual obligations within forecasted costs, time, and required quality.
The candidate will be enrolled in Nokia Portfolio training to be able to carry out and manage customer projects as E2E Project Manager responsible for the deployment of Optical Transport Networks based on technologies like WDM, and photonics, implementation of IP Networking for complex customer contracts, as well as the implementation of Fixed Access and Fixed Wireless Access Networks; all of them for medium/large networks and medium/high risk probability.

Suggests improvements and seeks opportunities for innovation. Demonstrates initiative & adaptability to changing business environments. It is expected the capacity to guide colleagues through Nokia’s processes to automate and create new ways of doing tasks.
Communication
Works to influence others to accept job function’s view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate with functional leadership regarding team & technical matters. May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function. May at times be required to negotiate regarding operational issues. Has cross-cultural knowledge and global mindset.
Considering that all customers, as well as the organization which the Project Manager will work with are based in the United States and Canada, Candidate must have a very good English level (at least: finished B2 or Level 13). (this competence will be tested).
Good communication skill in English Language to manage stakeholders abroad is a must as well as the ability of managing the customer relationship during project delivery and being as the primary point of contact towards the customer.
English Communication Skills are essential to prepare an effective and proactive communications plan for all relevant project information as well as oral/written communications skills and presentation abilities.
