Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Telecom Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.

Accountabilities

We are looking for a Telecom Engineer:

• Able to design and commission of highly redudndant and resilient IP networks for railways (e.g. Core, Distribution and Access Layers design, supporting highly reliable and/or mission critical application);
• In charge of the technical management of the entire project lifecycle, starting from the requirements analysis and traceability till the eventual Site Acceptance tests witnessed by th Clients;
• Able to scout and identify the most suitable solutions satisfying the Railways projects needs and matching the technology evolution;

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Newly-graduated students, with 1 year of experience or less in Telecom and in the activities related to at least one of the areas indicated in the main accountabilities ;
• High knowledge of the main protocols and standards of the IP wired/wireless networks;
• Experience with management and understanding of telecommunication systems, IP networks, etc.
• Excellent relational skills;
• Strong sense of pro-activity;
• Strong attitude to problem solving;
• Strong attitude to reach targets;
• Strong attitude to travel and work abroad in multicultural and international context;

Education

• Master Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (preferable) or Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering with a particular focus on Telecommunications, networks and radio communications;

Languages

• Italian mother tongue and professional fluency English (B2)
