Job Summary:
The Telecom Engineer 2 is responsible for the installation, problem diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a full range of telecommunication equipment encompassing analog, digital, VOIP and SIP technologies. Communicates with end users to determine needs and schedule work. Assist with the deployment and maintenance of service level agreements with appropriate reporting and documentation of support calls.

Performs day to day break/fix task across the enterprise
Perform Adds/Moves/Changes
Updates and completes documentation as required
Performs maintenance/ upgrades on Telecom systems as needed
Performs additional duties as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Cisco/Avaya/SIP/VOIP certifications Upon Hire Preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience working with voice communications equipment Required
Required Minimum Skills:
Knowledge and experience with voice and data cabling systems. Understanding of network operations and infrastructure.
Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
Data entry skills necessary to complete support call system reports.
Ability to configure and develop project requests.
Possess analytical skills and be familiar with methods of problem solving.
Public relations skills necessary to communicate effectively in a courteous, professional and tactful manner. Must be able to accept responsibility, manage authority and function independently of constant supervision.
Preferred Knowledge and experience with wireless, Voicemail, CDR, and Avaya or Cisco systems Computer/data entry experience.
Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team.
Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge.
Epic and 3M experience preferred.
