Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer with a strong background in GSM Towers, FTTx, GPON, and 5G network infrastructure planning, design, and management. The role involves overseeing and executing the design and permitting phases of fiber optic and small cell networks, managing project workflows, and ensuring high-quality deliverables for major telecom development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and upgrade of GSM tower infrastructure, including antenna layout and heat maps.
- Oversee the design and installation of antennas, radios, and other RF equipment on GSM towers. Ensure all installations meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead OSP (Outside Plant) network design and planning for GPON, FTTx, and 5G Small Cell networks.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to align on project objectives, technical requirements, and deliverables for GSM infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical support and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with construction and permitting teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and CAD drafters, ensuring project quality control (QC) processes.
- Review and finalize construction drawings, permitting documents, and as-built plans.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in fiber optic network planning, design, and project management, particularly in GSM, GPON, and 5G small cell networks.
- Proficient in OSP engineering tools such as NDS, O-CALC, IKE, GIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Proven team leadership skills with experience managing QC teams to produce high-quality project deliverables.
- Familiarity with GCC. telecom market regulations and permitting processes preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Telecommunications, Computer & Communications Engineering, or related field.
