We are looking for the next generation of Telecoms Engineers to work within our Technical Operations Organization. The team manage New Product Introduction(NPI) for hardware and software products/features for our customers. You will be involved in enabling our anchor customers adopt new products/features, build automation tools to deploy and manage large scale networks.

We are looking for telecommunications, networking, optical, electrical engineering or physics students who have recently graduated or have some industry experience.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Degree, or Masters in one of the following fields – Optical, Telecommunications, Networking, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Eligible for IEFP Internship
• Fluent English
• Commute to our site in Carnaxide
• Be comfortable working in our labs and on customer network locations.
• Willingness to learn about the optical telecoms industry, products, automation and projects.

This role will be hybrid with the opportunity for Home & Office working along with some travel, you’ll need to be in the office 3-4 days per week.

“This position requires direct or indirect access to certain confidential information, hardware, software, technology, or technical information (referred to here as “Export-Controlled Information”) controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The list of applicable countries in Country Group D:1, E:1 or E:2 may be updated by the U.S. government from time to time. The current processing time for an export control license is approximately 4 to 6 months.

Your employment or engagement with Infinera shall be contingent on verifying your eligibility or requirement for obtaining a necessary license and/or authorization from the appropriate agency. You will be required to provide certain information for export control compliance assessment purposes, and your information will be reviewed by Infinera’s hiring and export control teams to ensure compliance with the U.S. export control laws and regulations.
