Position Overview

The general role of a Telecom Foreman – Wireless Services is to safely and efficiently complete equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades at communication sites both on the ground and at elevated heights without direct supervision. In addition, the Telecom Foreman will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of up to 6 members. This work will be performed in both commercial and industrial locations.

This individual will represent Pillar Innovations in a safe, professional, and courteous manner. This position will require a flexible schedule which may include extensive travel, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

The Telecom Foreman will report to the Department Manager – Wireless Services and will work primarily out of their assigned location.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform and oversee on site work activities and documentation as required or directed
  • Train and mentor Wireless Services team members
  • Build, install, troubleshoot, and repair customer communications sites to include expansion and upgrades to new and existing wireless networks
  • Lead and mentor a team of up to 6 members and participate as an active team member in work being performed
  • Read and edit site documents such as Construction Drawings
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct equipment and network functionality
  • Observe and reportpossible defects or hazards in equipment and work site
  • Document job costs, including labor hours and material in an accurate and timely manner
  • Accurately follow instructions and complete assigned course of action in accordance with scope of work and methods of procedures (MOPs)
  • Complete physical material inventory upon delivery
  • Perform pre-work and post-work site audits and maintenance inspections
  • Obtainwritten customer approval for change orders
  • Operate Test Equipment
  • Assist management in scheduling labor, materials, and other job tasks
  • Assist Wireless Services Project Manager on all aspects of project execution and completion including timely documentation
  • Assist the Wireless Services Project Manager in writing reports from field observations
  • Responsible for managing labor hours to meet project schedules while maintaining quality control of project deliverables
  • Ensure that projects are completed while maintaining quality control
  • Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding employee performance, production, and placement
  • Provide feedback and input for employee performance reviews

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experiencein the wireless communications industry with the capacity to understand and manage multiple projects, multiple customers, and personnel preferred with at least4+ years of experience building, installing and repairing wireless service infrastructure preferred
  • Valid Drivers License required
  • Ability and attitude to follow rigid job safety standards and properly utilize specialized Personal Protective Equipment
  • Possess strong problem resolution and customer interaction skills
  • Possess or obtain OSHA 30 Training Certificate within 6 months of hire
  • Maintain certifications for courses such as:RF Awareness, First Aid, and CPR
  • Knowledge and ability to perform inventory mappings, maintenance inspections and site audits
  • Proficient in operating test equipment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to use software applications including Microsoft Suite
  • Willingness to take on and learn new tasks and skills
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions
  • Familiarity with general accounting/costing practices including budgeting, invoicing, purchase orders and accounts payable
  • Possess demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
  • Class 2 High Visibility Vest
  • Other Job-Related Safety Equipment as Required
  • Quarterly Personal Protection Allowance (PPE) Provided to Field and Shop Personnel
