The Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is seeking to hire qualified candidates with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, creative thinking, problem solving environment. This position serves as the Telecom & Network Portfolio Manager leading a team in the Information Technology Management Office responsible for the development and processing of all IT Telecom & Network contracts. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of both strategic sourcing and category management practices, experience in negotiating complex contracts/agreements, vendor management skills and demonstrated expertise within key areas, such as IT services (professional services/labor), IT Telecom & Network, IT and enterprise applications, and/or indirect spend. The Telecom & Network Portfolio Manager will evaluate market conditions, strategic supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and price benchmarking and implement solutions by working with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions. In addition, you will analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identifying supply base issues to minimize risk, protect the continuity of supply and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Term Appointment:
Candidates hired into a term position shall be appointed for a term of 4 years and are subject to a probationary period. The term may be renewed for successive four-year terms at the Director of the Department of Innovation and Technology’s discretion.
