Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the supervisor of the Switchboard/Answering Service supervisor.
- The Switchboard attendant will answer all calls promptly and courteously, recording messages accurately, and deliver messages following the physicians instructions.
- Keep accurate status information according to hospital policy. Cross-train in the area of the Switchboard and maintain proficiency.
- Maintain a friendly, caring, and professional attitude toward all employees, patients and other calling parties.
- Provide a good working environment within the department to insuring a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- One year of working in a business environment.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience dealing with the public is preferred.
- One year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
