Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for “Telecom OSS Specialist” who could join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Job title: Telecom OSS Specialist

Job Location: Plano, TX

Duration: Fulltime with Cognizant

Experience: 15 to 18 years

Travel to client offices within North America on need basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with OSS solutions from Ericsson, Nokia, or Samsung in the telecom industry, IT consulting, or global systems integrator (SI) companies.
  • Extensive knowledge in radio networks, network planning, design, inventory management, NOC, service assurance, zero-touch provisioning, VNF, and network on cloud.
  • Experience with Service Assurance through ServiceNow; Netcracker knowledge of Service Bridge is a plus.
  • Have strong working knowledge of Plan, design and build of networks and systems on cloud
  • Knowledge of RAN (ORAN, Xapp, Rapp) is a huge plus
  • Strong understanding of telecom industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery is good to have
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and occasional international travel.

Certifications (preferred):

  • TM Forum Framework Certification for understanding telecom industry standards and best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Solution Development:
  • Design, develop, and implement robust OSS solutions tailored to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare solution responses to RFI and RFP, back it up with data points and align them based upon CTS offerings, solution, and differentiator.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Architect/ Integrate network systems of Ericsson / Nokia with rest of OSS / BSS and assist in closed loop service assurance initiatives.
  • Integration Management:
  • Address and resolve complex integration issues between various OSS components and other systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of OSS solutions.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Meet with customers in person to understand their problem statements and business needs.
  • Develop and propose relevant solutions that address customer challenges and enhance their operations.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Provide OSS thought leadership and strategic direction
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on OSS architecture and design.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex OSS issues.
