Summary
Under direct leadership from the Telecom Manager, and in guidance and consultation with the Senior Telecom Specialist, this position is a member of a Telecommunications support team responsible for implementing, supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting the enterprise telecommunications infrastructure.
Position Reports To: IT Telecom Manager
Essential Functions
- Creates and maintains unified communications systems and documentation.
- Administers voice mail, ACD and call accounting systems.
- Manages and maintains unified communication management tools.
- Assists in M/A/C requests for extensions, physical moves, replacements.
- Schedules and performs regular updates and upgrades on unified communication systems.
- Assists in maintaining written telecom equipment standards.
- Deploys and maintains desk and wireless telephone systems & devices.
- Works to resolve all issues in a timely manner.
- Provides reporting that proactively identifies more complex problem areas with trending activities.
- Performs and manages problem identification, isolation, resolution, and solution documentation.
- Assists in the development of implementation plans for requested projects.
- Prepares documentation and evidence to support requested fixes and changes.
- Follows change management procedures and requirements provided by the organization.
- Updates all supported platforms documentation to reflect change.
- Participates in on-call rotation and responds in a timely manner as defined by management.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years telecom experience supporting PBX, VoIP and Voice Mail.
- Experience supporting ACD and call accounting systems.
- Experience supporting vendor provided telecom circuits & managing issues with external telecom vendors.
- Experience with TCP/IP, routers/switches and wireless networks.
Preferred:
- AA/BS/BA or comparable experience.
- NEC Certification (PBX, ACD, Voice Mail, Global Navigator, MA4000, VoIP)

Working Conditions:
- Works at multiple locations. Frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. Requires occasional evening/night and weekend work. May use own vehicle to travel among the sites and to transport equipment. Please refer to Confluence Health policy 4835889 regarding using own vehicle. Participates in a 7×24-hour on-call support rotation.
