Role: Temporary Beauty Supply Planner- LogisticsSalary: £30,000- £35,000Location: LeedsAre you passionate about beauty products and supply chain planning?Do you excel in managing supplier relationships and fast paced environments?Our client, a leading player in the hair and beauty industry, is currently seeking a Temporary Supply Planner to join their dynamic Logistics Team!In this role, you will be responsible for planning the supply of products from a group of manufacturers to meet forecasted demand across our client’s global business. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a well-known brand and make a significant impact on their supply chain operations.As a Temporary Beauty Supply Planner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the weekly and monthly planning processes in Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) and Blue Yonder (BY) systems to manage the supply of products from external manufacturers.
  • Planning the production schedule for each manufacturer and reviewing and releasing purchase requisitions to maintain target stock levels in the market.
  • Presenting updated plans for each manufacturer, along with their impact on customer service, inventory, and cost during the monthly Supply Review as part of our client’s Sales & Operations Planning process.
  • Ensuring that stock is despatched and delivered according to the agreed service level by working closely with manufacturers and the ghd Deployment and Logistics teams.
  • Tracking and reporting on-time in-full delivery for each manufacturer.
  • Collaborating with the Supply Planner (Innovations) to incorporate Limited Edition and New Product Development requirements into supplier schedules and ensure timely delivery aligned with sales forecasts.
  • Resolving supply issues as they arise, working with manufacturers and our client’s teams in the UK and Hong Kong to mitigate risks.
  • Ensuring accurate master data is maintained in MSD/BY.
  • Updating MSD with all inbound, outbound, and finished goods movements and maintaining stock accuracy targets.
  • Identifying opportunities to drive out excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Raising purchase orders for ad hoc (non inventory) costs incurred at the manufacturers.

As a successful candidate, you will possess the following key skills and attributes:

  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable to change and demonstrates a proactive approach.
  • Works effectively both within a team and independently.
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Ideally, experience within a fast-moving, international consumer products business.
  • Ideally, experience with MSD and BY.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
