1. Introduction:
Peace Track Initiative was founded in 2015 to support the peace process in Yemen. (PTI) is dedicated to promoting sustainable peace through inclusive dialogue, strategic communication, and grassroots engagement. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our impact and ensuring that our work and efforts are being reflected and shown to the world through our platforms and website, we are planning to hire an IT expert to improve and develop our organization’s Website. This document outlines the Terms of Reference for a comprehensive Website developer that will enhance our website performance and resources.
2. Objectives
The primary objective of this term of reference is to design, develop, and launch a fully functional, responsive, bilingual, and user-friendly website that meets the needs of Peace Track Initiative vision.
3. Scope of Work
The website developer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Conducting a needs assessment to understand the organization’s requirements.
- Designing the website layout and structure.
- Developing the website using appropriate technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms).
- Ensuring the website is responsive and mobile-friendly.
- Integrating necessary features such as contact forms, donation portals, event calendars, PTI vision page, tools pages, our news page, and social media links( all in separate links).
- Testing the website for functionality, performance, and security.
- Offering ongoing support and maintenance for 1 year period.
- Coordinating with PTI focal point about any adjustments & testing of the website new features before launching in a timely manner
- Providing a presentation and a chart about the new features to PTI management & focal point
- Providing a written guide on how to use the new features.
4. Deliverables
The developer is expected to deliver the following:
- A detailed project plan with timelines.
- Wireframes and design mockups.
- A fully functional and tested website.
- Documentation and user manuals.
- training for the organization’s staff on how to manage and update the website, including using any content management systems or tools integrated into the platform.
- A maintenance plan.
5. Timeline
The project is expected to be completed within five to six months
6. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience in website development.
- Proficiency in web development languages and tools.
- Strong portfolio of previous work.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
