Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineering Analyst / Test Analyst with Experience in Automation testing

As a QA Test Analyst, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Telecom Domain
• All applicants authorized to work in the United State are encouraged to apply
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience testing APIs and using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL for data validation.
• Proficiency in bug tracking tools like JIRA, one confluence
• Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium.
• Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python).
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with Identifying testing risks and dependencies
• Perform manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Conduct regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to improve product quality.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in QA processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in QA methodologies and tools.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
