Morgan McKinley has partnered with a leading financial services provider in the automotive sector as they look to hire a Test Lead with a focus on Business Operations.About the Role:Reporting to the Head of Operations and working alongside the Project Testing Manager. You’ll be responsible for leading and executing testing requirements across various change initiatives and projects, with a particular focus on an internal transformation project aimed at enhancing core product sales. Your expertise will ensure that product delivery is fit for use and meets the requirements of end-users and customers, aligning with their client’s Operational Excellence strategic pillar.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute the overall test plan across all Operations streams.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and outcomes.
  • Develop and execute required test scripts.
  • Report on test execution activities and outcomes, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Act as a testing subject matter expert within Operations for all systems and processes.
  • Assess the progress and effectiveness of testing in line with key milestones.
  • Drive the resolution of important defects to ensure appropriate quality.
  • Advocate for customer-focused and end-user best outcomes.
  • Support IT deployments through the testing phase and assist with post-implementation reviews.

What You Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Test Lead role.
  • ISTQB Qualified in test management certification (e.g., Certified Software Test Manager/Software Quality Analyst or equivalent).
  • Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, and Micro Focus UFT.
  • Proven experience in automation and agile testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive ‘Smart’ solutions.
  • Outstanding attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and collaborative relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders (project managers, developers, business users).
  • A strong advocate for best outcomes and a positive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Capable of working to strict timelines.
