Project Brief
Vietnam is vigorously advancing green growth and sustainable development through its national strategies and action plans. Financial capital plays a pivotal role in reaching these objectives, and the government is now prioritizing green and sustainable finance as a core component of its green growth strategy for 2021-2030.
To effectively align the organization’s projects with growth and sustainability goals and ensure success of many efforts, it is essential to improve the knowledge and skills of its staff in this field.
Project Objective / Scope of Work
The aim of the consultancy are the following:
(1) To strengthen fundamental understanding of staff and partners in development sector, on green and sustainable finance including but not limited to:
(2) To provide critical analysis of different perspectives including economic, environmental and social aspects and facilitate discussion on gender equality, accessibility and affordability in green/blue and sustainable finance.
(3) To encourage discussion on and co-create recommendations on possible roles, engagement and contribution of social organizations in promoting green/blue and sustainable finance.
To do this the Trainer is expected to work with the team to deliver:
- Designing a training program design
- Creating training materials
- Conducting training sessions (in Vietnam, for approximately 30 attendees)
- Documentation of all learning materials, process, and final report approved by Oxfam.
Qualifications/ Requirements
Education/Training: At least Master’s degree in the area of (public and private) finance and banking.
Language: English and Vietnamese
Professional experience:
- In-depth knowledge of green, blue, and sustainable finance, encompassing theories, policies, and practices in Vietnam, as well as international standards and best practices;
- Minimum of 10 years of extensive professional experience in training and learning facilitation within the finance and banking sector;
- Demonstrated expertise in analysis, writing, and delivering training on relevant topics;
- Prior experience in the development sector, particularly with similar assignments, is considered a valuable asset; and
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multi-organizational team.
