Pinion’s Farm Program Services (FPS) team is seeking an Advisor to lead FSA-related projects, with involvement in NRCS conservation initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who excels in customer interaction and agricultural advisory work.

Role Overview

A knowledgeable and client-focused Advisor to lead projects related to USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs, with additional involvement in NRCS conservation initiatives. This role blends technical expertise in payment eligibility and limitations with hands-on advisory work, guiding agricultural clients from concept to completion.

What you’ll be doing:

Primary Focus – FSA

• Provide expert consultation on FSA payment limitation regulations and eligibility
• Identify compliance issues and design solutions that positively impact clients
• Represent clients in USDA administrative appeals
• Monitor FSA updates and communicate changes to stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams to scope and execute FSA projects
• Identify and communicate USDA opportunities for clients

Secondary Exposure – NRCS Support conservation planning and NRCS financial assistance projects

• Assist in developing and implementing conservation plans aligned with Farm Bill initiatives
• Collaborate with NRCS-certified Technical Service Providers (TSPs)
• Help clients maintain compliance with NRCS policies and technical specifications

What you will need to be successful:

Required

• Proven expertise in USDA/FSA programs, ideally in a leadership capacity
• Extensive knowledge of payment limitation programs, FSA regulations, policies, and programs
• Strong understanding of agricultural operations and practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Technologically savvy

Preferred

• Exposure to NRCS conservation programs (EQIP, CSP, etc.)

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000 to $120,000.

Remote Eligibility: This position is US – Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at a Pinion office or attendance at offsites, as requested/required by the firm and/or your supervisor.
