Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Newport
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shifts Only
Job Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our team at a well-established and growing automotive service centre in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician looking for a stable, Monday to Friday role with excellent earning potential and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostics, repairs and servicing on a variety of vehicles to a high standard
- Perform MOT preparation, inspections, and ensure compliance with DVSA standards (if qualified)
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults efficiently
- Complete all work in line with manufacturer and industry guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out
- Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Full UK driving licence
- MOT Tester certification (desirable but not essential)
- A proactive and professional approach to work
