The Vice President, Network Development for Smilow Cancer Hospital has overall administrative responsibility and authority for all Smilow Cancer Hospital regional services which include the Medical Oncology & Hematology Care Centers, the Radiation Oncology Centers, oncology service lines at YNHHS delivery networks and the hospital affiliate cancer programs (the Smilow Network). In addition, is responsible for Operations and Logistics support at all Smilow Cancer Hospital locations. While overall responsibilities include day-to-day operations, the Vice President will focus on relationship management, program development, marketing, contracting and business management.

EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field required Masters degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
Eight (8) years of progessive leadership experience in a complex, academic medical center, preferably in an oncology setting.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Strong work ethic, and the ability to keep pace with the departments growing and changing needs. Excellent administrative, technical and fiscal management skills. Must be able to build and lead an effective mulitdisciplinary management team. Ability to coordinate Hospital and University programs and work successfully in a matrix-managed environment. Ability to quickly develop and maintain effective relationships with various internal and external constituants including Yale University staff members, staff of the affiliated hospitals and community colleges. Ability to successfully negotiate and effectively manage complex and politically challenging relationships. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate the following qualities: Proven ability to shape administrative strategies to support program success success in developing, implementing and evaluating strategic and operational plans while hitting budget targets. Excellent organizational skills to manage time and resources effectively.
