Salary: $55,000 – $65,000/year

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (longer hours during peak season, July – October)

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Walnut & Almond Farm Foreman to manage production, from hulling and drying to irrigation and equipment operation. The role requires leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate farm machinery, including tractors and flamers. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to supervise a small team, and work long hours during peak harvest.

Key Responsibilities:

Walnut & Almond Processing: Oversee hulling, drying, storage, and packaging of nuts.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors and irrigation systems.
Irrigation Management: Ensure proper irrigation and soil moisture levels.
Team Leadership: Supervise up to 20 employees, manage schedules, and ensure productivity and safety.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years in almond and walnut farming, with mechanical skills for equipment repairs.
Skills: Proficient in operating machinery, irrigation, and general farm operations. Strong leadership ability.
Physical Requirements: Able to work long hours, outdoors, and handle physical labor.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary of $65,000 – $70,000/year.
Monday – Friday schedule with occasional extended hours during peak season (July – October).
