It’s all about elevation and creating something better.So, come and make your career at McCain FoodsABOUT THE ROLE:As our Warehouse & Logistics Category Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our GB supply chain activities, ensuring smooth operations and strategic sourcing across the GB region. Reporting directly to the Procurement Director GB, you’ll be a crucial player in our Freight & Logistics Procurement team, covering GB and contributing to our broader Indirect Sourcing initiatives across other regions including Central Europe.Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Management: Oversee road transport for finished products in both cold and ambient conditions.
  • Warehousing Excellence: Manage and optimise our warehousing solutions.
  • Supply Chain Projects: Lead initiatives such as pallet sourcing and specific supply chain development projects.
  • Bulk Potato Logistics: Ensure efficient logistics for bulk potato transportation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the GB Supply Chain Team: Develop a high-performing, reliable storage and logistics supply base.
  • Drive Sustainable Cost Savings: Identify and deliver opportunities to support annual procurement and business targets.
  • Implement Commodity Strategies: Ensure long-term cost and cash performance with a robust commodity strategy.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Market Intelligence Sharing: Provide insights to stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Achieve Key Targets: Focus on cost, cash, and cost avoidance metrics.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage key procurement projects.
  • Strategic Implementation: Execute and enhance the existing strategy for the storage and logistics category, collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager and Indirect Procurement Director to develop future-focused strategies and report on procurement performance metrics.
  • Relationship Building: Forge strong connections with stakeholders and leadership across the business, deliver exceptional service and become the go-to expert for storage and logistics in the region.

Although you wouldn’t be directly managing a team, you will be a leader, supporting the Director, Procurement GB & Ireland on driving the strategic initiatives that play towards driving our growth ambitious plan.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.As well as a love for chips, you must also be a Warehouse & Logistics Procurement Category Manager or equiavalent working in a fast paced FMCG business.You must also have…
