Sparktel are currently recruiting for Wayleave Officer to join our client in the Dublin region. Our client is a leading telecommunications provider. The successful candidate will manage Wayleaves across the Cork region and will play a key role in managing wayleave agreements and facilitating the necessary permissions for infrastructure deployment, such as poles, ducts, and other telecoms infrastructure. You’ll work closely with local authorities, landowners, and contractors to ensure that our projects run smoothly and within legal requirements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the negotiation and acquisition of wayleave agreements for telecoms infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with landowners, local authorities, and property managers to secure permissions for site access and installation of equipment.
  • Review and assess wayleave documentation to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders involved in the wayleave process, addressing queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain up-to-date records of wayleave agreements, ensuring all relevant parties are notified of any changes or renewals.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure timelines are met and site access is granted on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during the acquisition and installation phases.
  • Assist in preparing reports and providing updates to senior management on wayleave status and issues.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the telecommunications or utilities industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of wayleave processes, legal frameworks, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
  • A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full clean driving licence is essential
