Windows Engineer – 3rd Line Support
Contract – inside IR35
London – hybrid
~£500-£550
Responsibilites:

• Provide 3rd line support to fix incidents or problems on Windows on prem Servers
• Create code to deliver Infrastructure as Code
• Security & Compliance of the Windows OS in relation to other IT infra services
• Gathers requests for changes in Windows platform services
• Participate in projects by giving advice (during the design phase) and implementing
• Make an active contribution to the self-organizing team

Business Knowledge/ Technical Requirements

• Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Windows Operating System
• Experience in a large sized (5000+ server) complex infrastructure environment
• Automate your way out of everything
• Experience with Ansible, preferable Ansible Automation Platform or Tower
• Experience with Security tooling preferably CyberArk
• Strong PowerShell scripting
• Knowledge and experience with scrum / agile working
• You are resourceful, flexible, analytically strong and when needed critical
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English

Additional:

• Experience with GIT, Automated testing
• Experience with cloud management solutions – vRealize, Azure products, CI/CD
• Continuous Configuration Automation and Desired State Configuration
• Active Directory
• Design, engineer and create implementation strategies for Windows products
• Produce design and operational documentation to a high standard
• Actively use new technology to enable the bank to innovate, integrate and reduce costs
• Third-line support for Windows products and services

Expected salary

£500 – 550 per day
