Yardperson/Driver (HGV’s)Dennison Commercials Ltd is the sole Volvo Truck & Bus dealer and the leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in Northern Ireland.Hours & LocationThe position will be based at our site in Ballyclare and the core hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm per day. Flexibility to work on Saturday mornings and or weekday evenings will be required from time to time.As an equal opportunities employer, Dennison Commercials Ltd. welcomes applicants regardless of age, sex, marital status, race, sexual orientation, religious belief, political opinion or disability.About the roleKey Duties & Responsibilities· Completion of road tests as required for HGV’s· Controlling yard vehicle movements – general upkeep of the yard ensuring bays are filled and exit roads are kept clear· Collection and Delivery of HGV’s as required to support dedicated Driver team· Moving vehicles to battery charging points as and when required· Prepping of trailers for MOT, hooking up units to test trailers etc· General housekeeping of Ballyclare depot premises – keeping external yard areas clean and tidy· General housekeeping and cleaning of workshop – removing debris, packaging redundant parts from the workshop, emptying bins and disposing of waste products appropriately (including hazardous waste), managing skips and recycling etcPlease note there will be a strong element of manual handling within this role due to the nature of our business.About the companyFamily-run business, Dennison Commercials has been serving the transport industry for over 50 years. As well as being one of the longest established Volvo Truck & Bus dealers in the UK and Ireland, Dennisons is also the appointed JCB dealer in Northern Ireland & Donegal for JCB construction, industrial, and access equipment.The Dennison Group has depots based in Ballyclare, Newry, Dungannon, and Coleraine. We also have a Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop located in Ballyclare and our JCB dealership is located in Templepatrick.Required Criteria

• HGV licence, including classes C and E
• Up to date CPC training with valid Driver Qualification Card
• Possession of a valid digital tachograph card
• Previous experience of yard maintenance and general housekeeping in a commercial workplace environment
• Possess an understanding of, and, be familiar with health and safety regulations associated with cleaning and maintenance activities
• Possess high standards of cleanliness and have great attention to detail
• Take pride in your work and be reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Be accountable and responsible for completion of role duties and use initiative where needed
• Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner – polite and approachable

Desired Criteria

• Possession of a bus/coach licence would be highly desirable
