Morgan McKinley has partnered with an IT services and solutions client that work with over 500 pharmaceutical customers in retail across Ireland as they look to hire an experinced DevOps Engineer. They provide web, mobile, IT infrastructure, EPOS and third-party systems to their customers with a wide focus on various technologies and delivery models.In this role you will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for the clients products, automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and Helm on Azure, manage cloud services (e.g., AKS, Redis Cache), and ensure efficient monitoring, logging, automation, and security practices across the software lifecycle, while collaborating closely with development, QA, and support teams.Essential requirements;
- Fluent in Terraform, bash and Helm charts.
- Understanding of Azure infrastructure around AKS, networking, storage and compute.
- Understanding of Azure logging strategies through Log Analytics and Application Insights, together with the resources around logging: Alerts, Monitor, Action Groups and Dashboards.
- Experience with several Kubernetes controllers and deployment strategies around them: Pod Identity and KeyVault CSI driver.
- Ability to work with the development teams to align application and Kubernetes and define areas of improvement where value is high and effort of change is low.
Desirable requirements;
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with C#.
- Experience with NewRelic for log monitoring and analysis.
- Experience with .Net core applications deployed into Kubernetes.
- Experience with EntityFramework core.
