In this role, you will take charge of our key finance processes, with a focus on managing the month-end and year-end for the global consolidated group. You will be responsible for driving system improvements, and inputting on global finance projects as we create a future-fit finance function in a fast growing business. This role demands a combination of strategic insight, technical proficiency, and hands-on execution to deliver impactful change across the business.In this fast-paced and dynamic environment, your ability to be proactive, detail-oriented, and an independent self-starter will be key to success. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a broad and impactful role.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting:

• Oversee all financial operations, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow and working capital to support business growth.

Technical Accounting & Compliance:

• Ensure strong technical accounting controls and adherence to IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.
• Consolidate all subsidiaries worldwide and work with global accounting and tax partners to monitor compliance around the world.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Process Improvement & Systems Management:

• Drive system improvements and automation to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency.
• Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to optimize operations.
• Identify opportunities for streamlining financial workflows and enhancing data accuracy.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Mentor and coach junior finance team members, providing training and development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance finance team culture.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing financial insights and guidance.

Tax & Payroll Management:

• Oversee global payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage corporate tax filings, VAT returns, and other tax obligations alongside contributing to tax projects.
• Liaise with external tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax planning strategies.
• Ensure payroll systems and processes are efficient and align with company policies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• ACA/ACCA qualified, with training from a Big-4 or top-10 audit firm and strong technical accounting expertise.
• 1-2 years of experience in a fast growing business, a private equity-backed technology business is preferred but not required.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively.
• Experience in managing and coaching junior team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Certinia, Salesforce and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
