We are looking for a conscientious Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller in our Finance and Procurement Directorate.What you will be doing?The successful candidate will deliver effective financial service to the Golding group, including transactional efficiency, financial accounting, and payroll. Maintaining balance sheet and control account reconciliations, ensuring that appropriate financial controls are implemented and to report on identified weaknesses or breaches.More about you. What can you bring?The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Financial Accounting role and have one of the following Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA).We are looking for someone with strong payroll and financial accounting experience who will drive continuous improvement of the financial accounting process.Experience of automating processes and managing associated workflows, knowledge of payroll employment taxes including related deductions, plus knowledge of housing finance and the Housing SoRP. Experience of internal and annual audits, preparation and presentation of statutory accounts and regulatory returns.Excellent analytical skills, good IT skills including advanced Excel and previous use of Advanced Financials an advantage.Having a strong finance approach is essential to delivering the Golding’s new Strategic Plan.Having the right balance of commercial and technical skills with the ability to form strong relationships and work seamlessly across the organisation are key ingredients in providing value-enhancing services to internal and external stakeholders.
