Ballinlough are the main dealers for Thermo King refrigerated units and Dhollandia lifting equipment in Ireland. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a HR Manager to join and support our team.   • Develop, implement and maintain best practice HR Polices, in line with employment legislation, to support all business units.
  • Manage and assist with the roll out of HR initiatives within the business, meeting high standards of quality, delivery and professionalism.
  • Taking ownership of the recruitment process from role intake, to sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, negotiating and onboarding of candidates.
  • Build effective HR Operations relationships across the group, becoming a trusted advisor to stakeholders through influencing and providing expert advice and coaching on all aspects of the HR life cycle.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Management team on the effective and timely execution of all people programs
  • Total reward: advise and support employees on company and government benefits. Advise managers on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits. Lead compensation reviews and projects in line with company processes and guidelines
  • Ensure effective performance management processes and reviews across the business to enable career development and an effective talent pipeline.
  • Identify training needs and partner with the People Managers to build, develop & deliver robust solutions.
  • Management and resolution of ER issues – analysing the challenges and identify underlying causes and the appropriate solutions for individuals and the business, ensuring all matters that arise are managed efficiently.
  • Develop a focused talent strategy, appointing, developing and supporting the retention of key people to deliver excellence for both present and future organisational needs.
  • Managing and implementing HR projects. Embrace the continuous improvement culture and seek to ensure that opportunities to evolve the service are taken.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation.

The candidate;· At least 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.

  • Educated to degree level, you will be able to clearly demonstrate significant HR leadership experience gained in a fast paced organisation.
  • Degree in HR or other related subject, CIPD qualified desirable.
  • Previous HR experience with automotive, transport or engineering industries would be advantageous.
  • Displays a high level of personal resilience and the ability to remain effective in a dynamic working environment.
  • High energy individual who enjoys a challenge.
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious with a strong work ethic and flexible work attitude.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence across diverse groups and levels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team.
  • Pro-efficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Full clean license with own transport with ability to work flexibly across multiple locations.
