We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Communications Manager to lead a team of high performing professionals in delivering public consultation and stakeholder engagement for renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and within multi-disciplinary teams to devise and implement public consultation strategies to inform policy and infrastructure projects including for renewable energy and sustainable transport.

We are also flexible on working hours and location among our offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Sligo.

About The Team:

Our project communications team is the market leader in public consultation and stakeholder engagement services in Ireland. We work in multi-disciplinary teams with engineers, environmental scientists, and town planners.

With 16 consultants we continue to grow due to a very strong pipeline of work including public consultation and stakeholder engagement to inform government policy and major infrastructure projects, in the areas of renewable energy, water and sustainable transport to deliver Ireland’s Climate Action Plan.

Duties:

  • Be a trusted advisor to our clients and colleagues
  • Trusted advisor to our clients and colleagues
  • Devise and implement strategic communications plans
  • Manage stakeholder engagement to build trust and social acceptance of projects
  • Support business unit management through:
  • Project resourcing and managing a team of high-performing professionals to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are achieved
  • Client relationship management
  • Financial management and reporting
  • Business development and tendering

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Highly motivated professional with a proven ability to perform at both strategic and operational levels
  • 9+ years of relevant consulting / agency / contractor professional experience to include:
  • Experience of leading, motivating and managing teams
  • Experience of collaborating as part of multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Financial management – commercially focused with strong financial acumen
  • Ability to perform at both strategic and operational levels
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English essential; experience of stakeholder engagement with Gaeltacht communities would be beneficial
  • A flexible and willing approach to travel for work at project locations around Ireland
  • Strong interest in current affairs, including an understanding of the Climate Action Plan and the Irish planning process along with enthusiasm for infrastructure delivery

Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic qualifications include Communications, Geography, Environmental Science, Behavioural Economics, Law or Business
