Senior Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to our personnel. Their duties include developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff, payroll and behaviour and onboarding new employees.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety First culture within the company
  • Standalone HR Manager for over 200 staff coordinating all administrative activities related to the company’s personnel
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Full lifecycle management of all staff
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with statutory regulations
  • Manage employee benefit programmes
  • Develop and maintain training plans, content and employee performance management systems to ensure employees contribute towards achieving the company’s Quality Objectives
  • Support the development of cross-functional teamworking within the company
  • Active participation on the Management team with a strong focus on achieving KPIs across all areas of the business
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with statutory regulations
  • Participate in the maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Management Systems into the company
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the company
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Maintain employee records re: Tachographs, Driver Licenses, CPC, Accident Investigations and Disciplinary Outcomes
  • Manage accident investigations and disciplinary procedures
  • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with the company’s Quality Objectives
  • Maintain the company’s TMS HR system and processes
  • Utilise the company’s Software Systems including TransMack, Web Fleet and Mantis
  • Conduct Performance Discussion Interviews (PDIs) with employees
  • Management of short- and long-term absences throughout the company
  • Maintain HR competencies in line with industry trends and technologies
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies
  • Active participation in creating a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
  • Ad hoc duties as required
